New dreamcast owner for the second time

Post by cc23830 »

Hi guys well ive finally purchased a Dreamcast after weeks of searching for the right one and couldnt be happier. I intend to appreiciate the console this time compared to the first time i owned it as a youngster and just destroyed it as my friends all owned a ps1. Anyway i have shenmue again, and next on my list is Kof.

I intend to. I just need to get up in to my mothers attic to see if my old games are up there lol. Any recomendations to some obscure games, as i have sampled shenmue 1+3 and interested in some games that maybe werent critically well recieved but dreamcast fans hold dear

hey man congrats and welcome back! You should definitely pick up Maken X, that's about as obscure as you can get. I'd have to say my top 10 are:

Ikaruga
Shenmue 2
Jet Set Radio
Phantasy Star Online Ver2
REZ
Headhunter
Soul Calibur
Shenmue
Skies Of Arcadia
Sonic Adventure

hope you enjoy and once again, welcome :)

welcome to our little DC place, hope you have a pleasant stay & enjoy your newly bought best console of all time ;)

the games Pro suggested here are good starters, while you're at it, get yourself a vgabox/cable off ebay (providing uour tv supports it). this really boosts the experience if played on a hdtv

some odd ones or fairly unique ones I would suggest are Illbleed, D2, Ooga Booga to name a few, but yes VGA box is probably the best investment you can get for your DC, aside from something like the BBA adapter ;)
