Are you referring to the 200 Divers units?

Prior to making the video I Googled it and that number kept reappearing on multiple sites. Thats where I got it.

However you could be right, I couldn't exactly get it verified by Sega.

Yeah, it doesn't seem very business savvy to put only 200 units into assembly lol!

An iMac clone with a Windows CE engine? The Dreamcast cheated on Microsoft!

I'll try to make my list at least remotely attainable:

1. Shenmue US. I have Shenmue 2 with Japanese dialogue and English dialogue, and Shenmue 1 with English dialogue. All I'm missing is S1 with Japanese dialogue.

2. Some special edition Dreamcast. I figure I have to get at least one model. Maybe a "Hello Kitty" unit.

3. A complete Official Dreamcast Magazine collection, including all the demo discs. Especially that obscure first demo disc that I'm having trouble obtaining.

4. BBA. I've still never played the Dreamcast online. I really want to try it, because I fear someday it may be too late.

5. All NTSC-U released Dreamcast games. This one's obviously a little more of a project, but I figure I can do it if I buy in wholesale lots. Probably not such an outrageous idea to some of you, since I know a few of you already have complete collections. I've been collecting for 2 years, yet I still only own 40 NTSC-U games. But, my budget just went up.

I've already completed every one of your goals, thanks for the unintended ego-boost. :P

I should note for you that US Shenmue is the opposite of what it should have been, it has English audio and Japanese subtitles. It should have been Japanese audio and English subtitles.

Of course you have. Your collection is insane.

Whaat? Aw, what a disappointment. I guess the only way to get the JP dialogue is to get the JP version then, which doesn't have English subtitles. I'm not about to learn Japanese anytime soon. What a shame. Oh well, better I know now than after spending $100. Thanks so much for telling me.

Yep no problem.

I've been pushing for some of the more talented Dreamcast hackers to work on a Japanese audio/English subtitles version.

One guy came close, but he said the big problem was the Japanese version was designed very differently from the other versions so the sound files just don't stay in sync.

I don't know, his explanation made more sense but that was essentially it.

However, you could do what I did which is play Shenmue I in English and then turn around and beat it in Japanese while its still fresh.

That would be nice, though I imagine playing Shenmue through on a CD-R can't be doing your Dreamcast's laser any favours.

Sounds tricky. Dialogue is crucial in Shenmue, and there's just so much of it. Maybe I'll give that a shot someday though.
