I think you can use CodeBreaker, but that's much more of a pain in the ass.

I don't think there's any other way, really. Of course, I'm not sure, so hopefully BlueCrab will chime in...

Use the PC version of the game ?

Why not just use the patcher disc ? takes like 2 seconds to swap out ...

Of course, that only works if you're using USv1, EUv1, or EUv2 with a BBA. If you're using dialup, it may or may not work, depending on your setup, IIRC.

If you're using USv2, JPv1, or JPv2, you need to use the patcher disc or a codebreaker code to disable the HL check with a GD-ROM.

I'd also recommend using the patcher disc if you're using any v2 (even though its not strictly needed with EUv2), simply because it includes the mapfix patch for v2.

Of course, that only works if you're using USv1, EUv1, or EUv2 with a BBA and a Dreamcast of the same region.
Fixed? Having EUv2 and a BBA isn't enough to let you connect without disc swapping if you don't have a PAL Dreamcast. You'd still need a boot disc to bypass the region lockout, unless you have a modchip.

It's possible to region mod your Dreamcast without a modchip. ;)
