progress.....

Must confess this time had more to do with the CPU cars positions than overall drift skills. Hence why my first lap time was deliberately slow.

And rjay strikes back with vengeance! Very nice! Do I see a possible sub 44 in the future???

This is one of the reasons I chose to do a regular race rather than a time trial. It throws a bit of luck into the equation instead of it just being about pure driving skill.

I'm fairly certain he means that he deliberately lagged behind on the first lap so that the cars would be well displaced for drafting, another one of this game's techniques. I considered doing this on my older run, but I decided not to since I didn't think it would be necessary. Clearly, it was. Oh well, I can do it too. ;)

I was actually half-pleased that my time had been beaten. Since school started back up, I don't often have free time, and I was looking for something to do.

We still have a week left to go though. :)

That's largely why I'd have preferred a Total time...
...or it's just sour grapes... ;)

Nice improvement Chris! I managed to improve my time as well by using manual transmission. I think I can do much better though. I still didn't make that one turn correctly. I tried the hard tires but I couldn't stand them! I might as well be racing on an ice rink!

Well done all!

I'd say the hard tires are a little too hard. Try medium hard. Like I said, the harder tires are for drifting.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of the whole drifting thing! It seems to work fine with the standard tires as long as you do it right. Here is my latest time:

It really is fun, once you get it right. Without drifting, this game would be very bland.
