4x4 Evolution Master Server List Down?

Well right now I have the quake3 being redirected directly to my ip address with an A record. It works, but once the ip address changes I'll have to update the zone entry. I'm not sure how to set it up to do CNAME to my hostname with bind if thats possible.

So these are the entries we need..
master.4x4evolution.com -> 69.15.25.124
master1.4x4evolution.com -> 69.15.25.124
master2.4x4evolution.com -> 69.15.25.124
master3.4x4evolution.com -> 69.15.25.124
master4.4x4evolution.com -> 69.15.25.124

master.pso.dream-key.com -> sylverant.net

Since you have a static ip I presume, A record works for sylverant. Ideally though the entry for master.quake3arena.com would either be a CNAME to dctalk.no-ip.info or DDNS to update it.

Fun fact:

pso.dream-key.com

is not a PSO server name and doesn't need forwarding. Both EUv1 and EUv2 use master.pso.dream-key.com.

Everything except the q3a stuff should be in Sylverant's DNS now.

I just tested it and I found that it doesn't work with the Sylverant IP as the DNS server; I just get an empty server list. The Dreamcast-Talk DNS works perfectly though.

That's odd... All the addresses resolve to the IPs they should, so I dunno why it wouldn't work...

It looks like Terminal Reality fixed their DNS. master.4x4evolution.com points to their server again.

The http://master.4x4evolution.com server seems to be down. I just set up a DNS entry on our server to redirect the game to dctalk. I have the same dc-backend.txt on our game server so you can still access both chat servers (official and dctalk) from there. The official one won't work right now with it being offline though. Hopefully they get it back up soon. The DC-Talk chatserver is currently online though so you can still play on that.

Current IP for our server is 100.40.25.69 so point your primary DNS to there for DC.
