Getting back online

So being the cheap fuck i am im trying to use my sprint unlimited data for internet use at home. works fine for all of my new systems but dc doesent have wifi. so i was like no problem just share my connection from my pc. now i enabled sharing on my wifi adapter set my ip config to auto on both lan and wifi adapter yet my dc doesent pull a ip address. the only thing i can think of is i require a cross over cable from dc to pc connection

If you connect your DC direct to the PC's Ethernet card you need a crossover cable.
