Hi all,
I am having trouble with planet ring and my linux PC-DC server. Every time I log in I get the "This table is full" on every table I go to. I did read that some people have resolved this by putting the PC-DC server in DMZ but this has not solved the problem for me....anybody have any ideas?
I am using the planet ring loader with an original GD-ROM with all ports forwarded in my router to the PC-DC server local IP...as well as the DMZ.
Thanks

Re: Planet ring - all tables full
It's possible that the server needs restarted. This could be a bug on our end because occasionally there is a table full message that appears on most of the tables. DMZ mode should do the trick for getting the DC to connect properly. We'll look into this.

I just had a very quick check with standard PAYG dial up and it connected fine and tables were available. I also had a list pop up on screen which I also don't get via the PC-DC server. I then tried it again on the PC-DC server and the problem remains....all tables full so it must be an issue my end...just can't figure out what it could be?
Thanks again

Re: Planet ring - all tables full
I was online with TacT last night. I did not have any problems at the tables except Splash. I believe the problem was that the game seem to have to do with the problems TacT was having while online. He had a few problems with the same tables message that I did not experience. I connected via the Netopia method. I do not recall how TacT connected but like myself, I believe he can connect via DC-PC server and Netopia methods.

Re: Planet ring - all tables full
Hi again,
OK, well I seem to have sorted it.
Although it was one of the first things I tried (and failed) I set the ports to forward to the dreamcast rather than the PC-DC server. when I used this initially the prblem remained...why it got it working this time I don't know...I guess I must have chnaged something else inbetween.
In any case...it works...at least for now
Thanks for the input
Cheers

Re: Planet ring - all tables full
Ya I had the same problem happen when I first tried this game, I could not get it to connect at all using my Mac Setup, so i got a netopia and it connects fine,
but when i connected it did not show any users online and all the tables were full, but i could connect and login and walk around.
I fixed it by setting all ports forwarded to the dreamcast's IP.
I did have another problems sometimes I would try to go into a game it would say its Down for maintenance or something but when I reconnected it worked ok.

All tables full is a UDP issue, open the udp ports for planet ring and it should be fine.

Full with any players? or full with none?
If it's the latter one then you have a problem with the UDPs.
Forwarding or not something might be blocking them....
