Lost Items Online!

I lost an important item when I was on PSO. A friend named BIGBOYSZ let me barrow a Charge assault +22 and I was helpping someone by saving them and I died BUT! I had a scape doll and when I went to pick up the gun, nothing happened for a bit then BAM!!!!! The line was disconnected! My friend Karl said he didn't see it any where. What do I do? let me know how many times something like this has happened to you. (I don't want this topic to be about just me lol)

You drop your weapon when you die, and if you're lagging, your client won't be able to tell the leader's client that you died and dropped your items. If you then get disconnected, your client was the only one that knew about the items you dropped, so they're unfortunately lost forever.
