Best dreamcast games

I would like to know wich are the best games on the system

every types of games included


I only have dino crisis,crazy taxi and sonic adventure

sort of depends what genre you like, if you want good games that aren't "the classics":

-record of lodoss war
-shadow man
-mr driller
-baldr force exe
-ooga booga (kicks ass in multiplayer)
-gauntlet legends
-millennium soldier expendable
-urban chaos
-vampire chronicle

this is off course just my opinion, check my vids if you want to check out some of those games

it would be a good idea to include region your Dreamcast is. its a lot easier to get games for your systems. some times you can find them locally.


besides some pretty good games mazonemayu named he also made a good point. it is really a mater of your own taste.


first there are your games that can still be played online such as PSO, 4x4 evo, star lancer, maximum pool and quake 3 arena. note that only the US copy of Q3 will still go online and only the PAL v2 of PSO is still online


i think the best thing to do is name off great games for specific genres.

"RPG"
PSO v1 or v2, Grandia 2, Record of lodoss war and Skies of Arcadia

"Action Adventure"
Star wars jedi power battles, ecco the dolphin, MDK2, Shenmue 1 and 2

"Platformer"
Rayman 2, Sonic adventure 1 and 2, super magnetic neo.

"Shooters"
Outrigger, Unreal Tournament, Red Dog, Under Defeat, Ikaruga, Armada, Rez, and many many more

"lightgun"
House of the dead 2, Death crimson OX, Confidential Mission, pretty much any of the lightgun games are good. there all the same if you ask me.

"Racing"
Hydro Thunder, SEGA GT, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 1 and 2, MSR, Demolition Racer, Crazy Taxi 1 and 2 and many more

"Sports"
all the 2k2 titles, Tony hawk pro skater 2, Sega Bass fishing 1 and 2 I'm sure there are more but i can't think of them off hand

"puzzle"
Chu Chu rocket, Mr Driller, Wind and Water puzzle battles. not sure of to many more

"Simulation"
Aero Wings 1 and 2, Ferrari 355 challenge, Test Drive Lemans, Coaster Works.

"Fighters"
Soul Calibur, Marvel VS Capcom 2, Power Stone 1 and 2, Ready to Rumble 1 and 2, and any of King of fighters.


I'm sure I'm missing tons of great games but its hard to think of all of them off the top of my head.

You know looking over that list reminds me just what a wonderfull console the Dreamcast was/and still is Just looking at some of those games brings back some great memories for me, almost brings a nostalgic tear too my eye. I deffinalty missed out on some DC games but it's never too late I guess and as long as my DC lives then it shall aways be used

Oh and you cannot beat a relaxing days fishing Even though It's virtual fishing, heck I even make up a flask of coffee and pack my sandwiches for my Sega Bass fishing days

I personaly liked Sega Marine Fishing the Bass Fishing 1 because it has more features.
