Hi. Merry Christmas, happy new year.
The Dreamcast has power, the lens seem to move but there is no rotation. When I use a battery and wires to test the motors in the lens assembly, they rotate and are fine. What subcomponent could be damaged?
Here is a video:

Thank you in advance.

If its not a lose wire, then the Spindle is broken and dead and will need to be replaced. But i think they're glued in there pretty good so you will have to replace the whole top part. Possibly find another dreamcast for spare parts to use. =)
One of my dreamcast's spindle broke a bit ago and I think one more is about to die too =(.

Re: Dreamcast Power ON but Does Not Spin but the Spindle Mot
Hi. Thanks for the reply. I took out the spindle motor to test if it'll work if I power it with two AA batteries, it did. Could there be another component related to powering the motors in the lens assembly? Thank you.

Re: Dreamcast Power ON but Does Not Spin but the Spindle Mot
That's possible, The one that I have still spins a little but isn't fully functional, I haven't tried but I'm sure if I connected a battery to it would probably spin too. which I don't recommend could damage them!
Still may be broken. =\
If the spindle is still working then something on the rest of the drive on the board or somewhere is not working properly which I don't know anything about that =)
