thats great! I hope it lasts This stuff might eventually come off then just clean it again Only problem is I don't think its possible to clean the under side of the lens lol
Those other 2 might just be burnt out or have other problems

yea i just got another 2 in and only 1 worked, have you noticed the big diff in drives from the later ones with the different drives/ribbon cable vs the older ones its funny because one would think the new ones would have lasted longer...Also found a controller board labeled made in tawian different then all the other DCs I have seen so far just interesting to me.

Well I haven't really noticed I don't know about that , I think the early models were made in japan and then later I think parts were made in china or somewhere else I don't remember , Not sure who made the laser part anyway, jvc, phillips ? I know they came with a couple ones.

Well I had a DC that had a bad video board but the laser seemed to be ok I swapped it out in my Launch 0 system I got and it works great now gotta love having spare parts that work. I still use that Plastix stuff on every system i get only have 2 bad systems for parts now.

Re: Disc won't read? Renew your DC Lens!
I think I am up too 12 spares + 2 non functional for parts not counting the 4 I am keeping. I didnt know how hard it is to find a 0 launch system from what I have been reading im happy I got one that still works after laser replacement. I have a friend that has a PS2 that has a laser issue once he finds it I will try the magic on it see what happens...

Thanks for the reminder. I have a 3DO that won't read any discs, I might try this out on it.

Re: Disc won't read? Renew your DC Lens!
How do you use this stuff anyway? Do you need to leave it on for awhile before taking it off? I put some on the 3dos laser, and where previously the drive would spin the disc and sound like it was struggling to read a little bit before failing, now it wouldn't even do that much until i cleaned the lense again with a different product.
