Which videogame genres do you prefer for a new game?

Nowodays people release "easy-to-do" games for small dev groups, that is, shmups & 2D platformers mainly. And they sell. However, most people say that they are tired of shmups. I'm curious to know what are the favorite genres of such people.

For that, I have created a poll with a list of 10 genres that are possible to develope for for the Dreamcast. If you could ask for a new game for the Dreamcast, what kind of game would you like to see?

It needs a damn fighter! But from someone who actually has a background or experience in the genre.

Been meaning to have a conversation regarding DC game development with Mike Z of Lab Zero Games. I see him just about every Friday.
I'd love it if he made a fighter for the system. SG was a damn good game imo.

3D FPS with online play. A counter-strike clone would be amazing. Voice chat would be a major plus as well

With things like kickstarter these days, something like that would probably grab attention and get quite the funding

Actually as far as a new game goes i wouldn't mind what genre it is, but online play and voice chat would be a point of anticipation for myself

I wish some of the cancelled Dreamcast games were made as independent releases like take the bullet , half life and propeller arena

I was thinking FPS too but I think it's kind of funny since the dreamcast controller is absolutely abysmal for FPSs. Sure you could use the keyboard and mouse but that kind of defeats the purpose lol.

This probably will just be my opinion, but the DC has quite a lot of versus fighting games already. Beat 'em up games like Beats of Rage would be a more welcomed addition, for me anyway.
