I bought a used Dreamcast from a local video game store. It works great, but it came with a sealed-in-bag cable that I've never seen before. It has a 3.5mm jack at one end and two clear red plastic squares at the other end. Each tiny red box has two wires going into it.
Based on the looks of what's inside, they appear to be fuses or LEDs or something. They also have unused adhesive squares on the back.
What are they?!? I tried plugging them into my laptop but they didn't do anything!
Strange cord?

Re: Strange cord?
Did it look something like this?

That's for connecting from a 3.5mm audio source (like a VGA box, or a computer, or your phone, or whathave you) to a speaker system.
(EDIT: I read the first post again and had another idea for the cable)
