Looks pretty cool.
So this would let me use my Dreamcast through Wi-Fi without a dial-up plan/BBA? Or are you using the BBA?

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
Not to step on aldairs toes. No he is not using a BBA. All he is using is a Raspberry PI image that emulates a dial-tone sound that can be used in place of a dial-up connection or BBA. There is an external modem involved in this setup that I saw. He may try to eliminate that as well He will release it when it is 100% and we will be able to use the standard modem on our DC's to connect without having to buy a BBA. Netopia, etc.

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
I've just uploaded an alpha SD card image for the Pi which allows completely automated dialing! Find out more here: http://blog.kazade.co.uk/p/dreampi.html

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
So, a bit more info now that I'm not on my phone!
The setup you need is:
Dreamcast -> Telephone cable (with Line voltage) -> USB modem -> Raspberry Pi -> Ethernet
Once you have that, and you have my image on your SD card, all you need to do is turn on the Raspberry Pi. After about 30 seconds the modem lights should come on (if you have them). Then you can just connect from PSO or any game that doesn't require a dial tone and it'll work. You shouldn't ever need to SSH into the Pi, or do anything manually unless there is a problem.
If you have any problems, either update this thread or post an issue on Github: https://github.com/kazade/dreampi

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
Which games do require a dial tone by the way? I use a BBA, but I want to make this setup if we end up getting Alien Front Online online agian as has been talked about.

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
At the moment the ones I know of are Quake 3 and Toy Racer. There are probably more, but I definitely hope to fix this so it's not even an issue.

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
Could you please perhaps post a list of your exact parts and links to the cheapest places to get them if it is not too much work? I would use google, but whilst looking for the cheapest Pi's I had some confusion on what versions to get and where they were still in stock. Also on Assembler I know you said you had a 10 quid USB modem, so that is pretty good to cut way down on price.
If you do post links might be good to post them over there as well.

Re: Dreamcast online using RaspberryPi.
I already did on my blog: http://blog.kazade.co.uk/p/dreampi.html
I think I'll need a U.K and U.S list though, the links I have are for the UK Amazon and eBay
