Problems connecting to Slyverant PSO v.2

I downloaded Aleron Ives Edition 3.0 of PSO and I have a BBA. Apearently with this version is supposed to automatically connect to Sylverant servers but it doesnt. It ask for my PSO serial number and access key. I thought it was supposed to bypass this part. What am I doing wrong?

For one thing you still need to serial number and access key to even get online. I would recommend circumvent it with a shared one found online, but as far as I can remember from lurking on these forums for years now it only applies to the Gamecube version to have a legitimate code to even play online. As for the version you downloaded we're now at version 4.0 right now so TIZ is a little behind as of now. Try finding that online and report back if any other problems arises.

You really shouldn't be using a shared serial to play online, if at all possible. Get a legitimate copy of the game and use it with the PSO Patcher (or at least use the serial that comes with a legitimate copy of the game).

Sylverant has features that are only available to those registered with a legitimate serial number and access key pair from the game. While there are only a few features that require that at the moment, I do have others planned that will require a real serial number as well.

No pirated copies bypass the serial number/access key requirement, as the server also requires that information to identify you. Using a shared serial will work for getting online (and the server won't reject it outright), but as I said, you will lose access to certain features.

Another thing to know is that if you do have a legit Serial/Key and it *still* doesn't work is that there might've been another copy of PSO registered on that Dreamcast.

Happened to me. There's a download of some "Flash Eraser" (as that info goes into internal memory of the console) which kills the serial (and any dialup / BBA info entered) and then you may enter the serial of your legit copy

wow I have this problem also o.O i put the server dns to run with aleron ives us auto sylverant connect but nothing appear my phone line as disconnected T.T Very hard to play using the dreamcast lol....
