Re: Xenocider/Project Q
I wonder how far away a video of gameplay is. A couple of months I'd imagine, not that there's any hurry.

On a more serious note, that background does look a bit scary - in a good way.
Even reminds me a little of Tetsuo going full berserk near the end of Akira.
So I wonder, did Akira or anything else serve as an inspiration for those erratic shapes?...

Now honestly, both Abel and I are big fans of Akira, Ghost in the Shell and other somewhat-cyberpunk series. Abel (the one designing all this material) specially. I don't think the inspiration was conscious, but his brain is full of that kind of reference so that makes sense to me

Re: Xenocider/Project Q
I think if you guys can pull this off you could have a big seller on your hands. I'm not sure how accurate the Sturmwind sales data is but it's rumoured to have done 5,000 units. Anyone got a link where the sales were stated?
Sturmwind was made especially for the dc, was a damn fine game and crucially utilised the dreamcasts power. I think this last point may have helped sales along quite a bit. Xenocider looks to aim at utilising some of the dreamcasts power too and that may give it a broader appeal. It's also not just another shmup, though I love shmups.
