XENOCIDER KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN IS LIVE!!!!

http://kickstarter.com/projects/retrosu ... -dreamcast

Xenocider is a 3D arcade action game with retro-futuristic aesthetics for Dreamcast, Windows, Mac, Linux and 3DS!

An innovative approach to the on-rails shooter genre and the first 3D arcade game for the Dreamcast in over a decade, this is our personal 3D homage to the classic Space Harrier, with a little influence from Galaxy Force and Sin & Punishment thrown into the mix!

As we promised, we made our playable demo available for download. Visit the Kickstarter campaign and enjoy!

Help us write a new episode of the history of the Dreamcast. Pledge now!

Heading over to back it now!

Twin stick as in the Virtual-On twin stick? Guess I'll have to hunt on of those down now.

Edit: Can you comment on the quality of the metal case edition? I think I, like many others, remember the poor quality of the Redux: Dark Matters "steelbook."

I didn't mention it before but special thanks to Tom Charnock from The Dreamcast Junkyard, Jorge Serrano from Games Tribune Magazine, Nicolas and Julien from Alice Dreams Tournament, and Falco Girgis from Elysian Shadows for participating in our KS video!!!!

Exactly as in Virtual-On Twin Stick! :D

I saw you asked via KS message too! Well it will be a proper, double tray case, similar (not necessarily identical) to this:

We didn't share the pic on the KS page because it wasn't a proper prototype or mockup and we still hadn't decided on what supplier we'd work with, but you can rest assured it's not, uh... some poor effort just to take your money, but something I would like to add to my shelf myself :)

THANK YOU!
A promise is a promise, right

But seriously, it just looks so awesome. I'm prolly one of they only guys here who has actually played Space Harrier in the arcades in the 80's, so I just had to have a copy

Btw, if you're actually going to use those metal cases, be sure to wrap em up really good, coz a lot of the Redux metal cases had dents upon arrival

hey hombreimaginario, just played the Windows build of xenocider and i love it, seriously love the simple gameplay mechanics! It reminds me of a project we had many, many years ago that didn't get past some models and a basic level, throughout the years i imagine it to be very much what your game is now!
I'll burn the CDI later, very curious how did you make the controls on the DC!

Les deseo muchísima buena suerte con el juego, se lo merecen!

Un video mal hecho (pero con amor), es mejor que mil palabras;)

The controls took me by surprise at first, but they're very easy to get used to! Great demo... obviously i cant wait for the game to come out!
