Dreamcast only reads error audio file on retail game

I tried reading the potentiometer with the ohmmeter, yet it is not changing any value in any position it is rotated in.

I followed a little tutorial on how to use an analog ohm-meter with a potentiometer, and I found this afterwards:

Which explains where to put the leads on. (Yet I am still unsure if the reddit page is right, or that my ohmmeter is just broken.)

Alright guys, I have bought another dreamcast and to my luck this one has a YAMAHA gd-rom drive.

Replacement lasers are plenty and cheap, no backup-discs though... Better be careful with the gd roms.
