Hey
The new server is now online
1. Registration - reg. your own nick, no need to type in u/p next login - Progress 100%
2. Puzzle Land - Upload your own puzzles/Download others - Progress 100%
3. When pepople join/leave the server sends a notification in the chat - Progress 100%
4. Several players on one DC can play online against others. - Progress 100%
5. Ranking, both top 10 and press X per person - Progress 100%

Note:
1. Registration is binding your dreamcast id to the entered nickname, so the only way
to change the nick after registration is to contact me, so I can remove the entry.
And have a vmu when you reg. then it will autofill the u/p next time you join the server.
2. Ranking in ChuChu is actually per round and not game, just so you don't get confused.

Thanks for your update! Now it seems like you can do a lot online now and it seems kind of like newer games with there online features. Would this be possible to do for other Dreamcast games that are online?

This depens on the protocol & game, for ChuChu Rocket you pretty much just
gets "coordinates" from the user and it's up to the server to act on these "coordinates".
You can pretty much form the server as you want, you can create a exact replica of the original server
or do it better/worse with your own creativity.

Yes, I think I will add it because it's pretty much the last piece to get it 100% as the original. That is, to add
"Create Game Room" and maybe "Create Chat Room".

Amazing work Shuouma, the announcement that this was restored was quite the pleasant surprise

How long were you working on this behind the scenes?
Will the CCR login database (if there is one) be intergrated with the DreamArena stuff (I think) you and Kazade are working on?

Now we just have to recruit more people to play regularly. That's what all of my dreampipe/skype stuff has been aiming to do. I have some other ideas in that front too

Having at least 4 people in everything at all times would be pretty nice. Dreamcast online is a hipster trend waiting to happen, I've been saying this for a long time
