Dreameye broken or what?

I bought a Dreameye sometime ago, but when I've tried using it, I can never get it to do anything. If I have anything more than just the controller plugged in it will beep repeatedly, and pretty much do nothing. I have the AAA batteries, but if I get the main power light to sustain into launching visual park, it still doesn't do anything

The question is, is this thing broken, or is there some sort of region lock or other thing I'm not aware of?

I've been meaning to post this thread for some time, but I figured I would've figured it out or something
