What help do you need? I'm not using my bba for tonight but I can help from when I did use it.

i have read the various BBA threads on the board, new and old..

BBA is hooked up to my router..
using the Q3A disc.. Ive tried pretty much all the different ways of entering info from leaving it all blank and 0.0.0.0 to putting in all my info and using the ip for the servers as my dns..

I wasnt really expecting to see a master list.. I have read that for many it wont show and to enter it manually.. but I dont ever get far enough to do that even..

it is doing the thing where it freezes during the configuring part.. I hope it isnt broken and there is just some thread or post I missed..

Tried to set the DNS to 46.101.91.123?

if thats the one pi uses.. yes.. that was the last thing I tried..

once with that as primary and 0s for second

Freeze as in the dc freezes and you have to hard reset or the connection terminates and returns you back to the menu? A console freeze could mean a hardware problem maybe?

If the console doesn't crash, dns should be set to the pi dns (46.101.91.123). Unless your router isn't assigning an IP via dhcp (I'm assuming this is working), it seems like there is a configuration problem somewhere. Might be clutching at straws, but maybe try a different ethernet cable? I'll try my bba now to see if I can connect okay to rule out any bba problems with the master server.

it crashes.. I have to turn it off.. thats why Im so worried..

I do hope it is a configuration problem.. I dont want my BBA to be busted..

I tested the cable im using with my laptop and its working.. I do have 1 other so I guess thats something new to try at least...

Try setting both DNS addresses to 0.0.0.0. I have the same problem when I try and connect with a bridged connection through my UMPC. I have to enter the server address manually once connected.

its been 15 or 16 years since this Dreamcast.. my original launch day Dreamcast.. has been on the internet in any way shape or form..

even if all I ever do is play 1 game of Q3A and never use it again this is gift I could never repay in a lifetime..

I feel like you MUST have said this in one of the threads I have seen here and I feel a fool for having missed it..
