As a follow-up, it ended up being the prongs. Adjusted them and now the system works.

I want to say right away that I am not a supporter of this mod and I think it is not right to change the rechargeable battery to a disposable...

Without the R612 I was expecting to measure 0V on the battery circuit, but I've measured a little bit less than 200mV...

Anybody know the VMU battery cover screw size? Been to 3 local hardware stores, and none of them have the right size. Thanks!
