Is this possible?

Post by Jaseman »

Ok. I have a Broadband connection A stock DC modem a phone cable and a Analog Telephone Converter. It is called the "cisco 186 ata". My parents were using this for our phone for a long while with vonage but we canceled. So now I have no VoIP so is it still possible to get online with my DC? If so: How would I do this? Meet ya on PSO if it works

the usual phoneline everybody (or most folks) have in their houses, unless you use your ethernetmodem to make calls, your phoneline is still analog

You mean you could get online with Dc using vonage before? I tried but it wouldn't work for me.

Now you could get a cheap dial up isp to connect with using the Dc modem. http://www.freedomlist.com/

No. Never been online with my DC before. I do not have a phone jack in the wall anymore. I DO however have a analog telephone adapter as I have mentioned before. Would that work possibly? Anyone in the know?

Damn. Too bad. Maybe I we will all get PS Zero and we can meet there

Only if I get a DSi on my B-Day (Oct 22: Weird how close that is to the PS0 release date)
