Dr.dns is not required if you download the iso image avaiable, but i think you need it if you use a original copy.

ok not funny!! I got online fine earlier but now for some reason it doesn't seem to be connecting, does the server go offline frequently? It just hangs with the 4 swirling colour things then says attempt to connect to the server has failed.... typical!!!

You do not use dr dns but you use codes, you have to configure things somehow and i tought dr dns was the only one

If you use a original disk then you need to configure dr.dns, takes some time yes, but it's worth it.

thanks mate, glad to finally have it only again! so yeah you can tell people who use the ORIGINAL PAL VER2 disc that they actually DON'T have to use Dr DNS, just configure the BBA via XDP, get the codes for the relevant version and then activate them and run the game and it works perfect. I was seriously doubting that it would work this easily but I'm soo glad it does.

I had one last question though which no one seems to know the answer to soo far, if I decide now that I want to try Starlancer again or 4x4 evolution etc can I simply just unplug my bba and plug back in my dial up modem? cheers again Kireek and everyone who helped.
