I'm pretty sure The Flintstones was the final release version too, seeing they already released it on GD-Rom. And HL and PA must've been very very close to release version. No idea about PA Bowling though...

Ouch, if that was intended to be the final version then we're all very fortunate that it was cancelled.

Come to think of it, PA should be final or near final version.

it is my understanding that PA was finished, SEGA canned it because of 911. this is the rumor that ive read a few times.

edit
"Propeller Arena: Aviation Battle Championship is a video game for the Dreamcast console. It was developed and completed by the development team Sega AM2, but the game was never officially released. The release was cancelled just days after the September 11 attacks, citing both similarities in game packaging and design to the events of that day as well as the Dreamcast's declining market share resulting in projected low sales numbers." Wikies. i dint feel like seeking out a more credible source atm, but that is what wikipedia says about it.

game_player_s wrote:Actually, the first and second GTA games pre-date Wild Metal. But, if you think about it, Wild Metal was sort of their first real 3D game. Wouldn't be surprised at all if elements of its source code weren't used in the third GTA game.
Oh I already knew that but I meant the Blockbuster game that was GTA3. Probably should have worded it better.

I used to play the first game on my PS1 back with my friends all the time, then Driver came out and I forgot all about the series till GTA 3 was anounced.

About Half-Life, it was only 2 weeks away from going to store shelves when it was canned. Reviews and the strategy guides were already printed up.

Got some scans of them here.

Yeah, that's because it isn't a rumor. EGM (or was it Game Informer?) Even did a teeny tiny write up about Sega cancelling the game due to concerns over public resentment for releasing a game involving aerial combat over city scapes enlight of 9/11.
