yeah but thats reliant on a software release that you get in your hand, free to play pc games are surely a far safer bet? I do get what you is saying though innit lol

^^^ The Witcher 2 is awesome
I'm actually downloading PSO2 right now and looking at some basic translation guides. Sure, its gonna be hell to figure out but there is a decent English playerbase on ship 10 (I'm pretty sure, I can double check if anyone wants to know for sure) and it would be badass if you guys joined me
The required specs really aren't that high; the game actually looks like it will have a lot of scalability, especially since its a PC game and not a 360 port like we're accustomed to. What are you guys running right now?

Been wanting to play that one myself too. Bought the steelcase DVD box on a flea market last year just so to have it ready when I actually buy a new PC. It'll happen, eventually... lol

YEESSSSS. Gonna be epic.
Just sold my current rig, gives me some time to decide on what to get next. I am thinking about building an HTPC with:
Ivy Bridge i5
Radeon 7850/GTX 660 Ti (When it finally comes out)
Hopefully they add 3D support that would be cool.

Here's my setup which I built myself (saves a ton of money) with the average prices, it runs every game (without super settings like high AA and shit) at full settings including PSO2.
Core i3 2.8 gig (2 cores) ~ $100
Radeon HD 5770 ~ $140
4 gigs DDR3 RAM ~ $30
That's $270 for a kickass gaming PC (at least for now while every game is a shitty console port).
Throw in another $150-$200 for a case, fan, cheap motherboard, and PSU and you're set.

well if you wanna know the ins and outs of my new pc here's the thread I started about it:
http://dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtop ... =10&t=4715
but for those of you who don't want to read the whole thread (understandable lol)
my rig is:
Case : Galaxy 3 Gamers Style Midi Tower Case
Motherboard : Gigabyte H61M Motherboard Technology
CPU : Intel Quad Core I5 2380P 3.1Ghz CPU
Hard Drive : 1tb Sata Hard Drive
Memory : 8gb DDR3 1333 Memory
Graphics Card : XFX ATI RADEON HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 HDMI Graphics Card PCI-E 2.1
Optical Drive : 24x Dual Layer Sata DVD Writer
PSU: Corsair CX500 V2 500W PC Case PSU Quiet Power Supply
pics of the escapade to upgrade are here:
http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/ul ... 20my%20PC/
I can now run Witcher 2 and Crysis on Ultra/Very High with my highest current resolution of 1600/1000 (rough guess as I'm not at home) I haven't got an HDMI monitor at present so I am just using DVI
my old dell dimension tower was getting a bit tired lol
the innitial system cost me £370 with no windows but I caved and upgraded my graphics card and psu and bought a second dvd drive

So how much did it cost to be able to play Crysis on high specs then?...
Meaning, how much extra for the graphics card I guess...
