But yeah, neee to have good driver installed

No voice Conexant SoftModem (actualy is voice, but linux driver dont support, windows does)
Custom Script, uses 1 ATA to act as tone noise "like" and another to actual connection. If enabled, Blind dial games dont even need that tone sound.
Dial some seconds after first ATA
Full speed.
Replace file /usr/local/bin/dreampi
dreampi_2ata_pci.zip
This actually helped me connect to the internet for the first time with my DC. I used garbage Trust MD-1250 modem for this and your dreampi file.
It's kind of unstable though, when I was browsing the web, it would load all the pages I chose, but still I would randomly disconnect in a couple of minutes and terminal text would show that modem has hanged and must restart itself. I fiddled couple of times with the connection attempts and managed to connect to Sylverant PSO server, and even played for 15 minutes without any problems, but then It would disconnect itself again. It looks like modem turns off very fast, so I need a precise timing to actually connect. Then after while it loses connection somehow, and I don't know why.

Well there is some bad modems, maybe old and tired, it seems to be your particular modem case.
I have other "no voice" modems, that I can use with custom script with normal behavior.

Ok , that's weird
1.I'm suspecting the USB connection, or even the virtual machine. Try changing USB port or try another computer.
2. Please use VMware Player to see the behavior.
3.You must make sure that the usb modem is connected "inside" the VM.
4.Ultimately, leave the modem on the main OS and share the COM port through the VM's virtual serial port.
Show us this command results:
1. lsusb
2. wvdialconf
Some home work for u

You just described my GD-ROM.
tbh I don't know the condition of my modem, but it looked unused when it arrived. Maybe it's just some settings that I need to change.

Oh, was "new" one
Try lower baud rate, like 38400
Find for 57600 and replace to 38400
