i'm just getting an error "~ $ sudo apt-get install xinit xserver-xorg raspberrypi-ui-mods chromium-browser

I've ran the expand filesystem command beforehand.
any advice? would really love to get this working. Running on a pi zero w.

Try "apt install" and "apt-get install" I think it's a mix up with apt try both then it should work lol

hmmm. Tried both. Still getting same error message unable to locate xinit. Sad day

I wanted to share this solution also works with Sega Saturn browsers too!
I'm considering taking deluxux's solution and making a special "Web Browsing Edition" Dreampi Image with everything preinstalled.
That way anyone who wants to surf the modern web can just easily swap their Micro SD on the Dreampi out with a image geared towards web surfing! I have something like this setup also for my XBand setup.

I'm wanting to incorporate DC Online now to Dreampipe. Kazade has a API I can hook into to get live results and dreamcast web browser users can see live user count

This is off topic but..

Discord chat on Planetweb 3 is also now a thing. So all browsers with IRC functionality will work now

How did you achieve this? Do you have to have bots in both the IRC and Discord servers?

This has been disabled by the webtv's team and release of Dreamarena3 has been upheld by them giving permission on their public beta. Which may be indefinitely..

I tried to set this up myself but my linux skills are poor at best and I couldn't get it working.

I had a thought. Xiden if you wanted to host your own dreampipe discord, I could integrate the IRC to discord relay chat addresses it into Dreamarena3, Or have a standalone Dreampipe passport or something.

Possibly with deluxux help? You both seem to be linux vets. I failed miserably in setting this up after multiple weekends of trying.

Would also be willing to contribute to that. I could probably talk with the GamingOnLinux Discord about how they bridge with a Matrix server. Some of these bots are pretty general purpose, there's probably a more upkept bot for this stuff.

The problem with that is you must own a discord server, you can't just join another server.
