Outtrigger is back online

This game, along with Daytona USA and F355 Challenge were always the games I was most interested in playing online and for many years it seemed like it was just not going to be possible.

Many thanks to everyone involved with bringing these games back and those organising the game schedules etc so that we can all get together and play.

I've been playhing this a lot on my DC via BBA. I tried to also load it up on my pixel phone using Flycast. I can connect online via Flycasts BBA support, but then when I chose the server it just loads forever. I tried using the dialup feature and it fails. Has anyone gotten this to work on flycast yet?

Nico, show your network settings in flycast. Do you have new 2.5 master build? I connect with DC NET without BBA.

Make sure you grab the latest version of flycast. I haven't tried on mobile devices but on PC you need the latest version otherwise it will not connect

For anyone frustrated with how Outtrigger controls with a standard pad, I highly recommend picking up a DC BlueRetro controller receiver.

I plugged mine in today along with an Xbox wireless controller and it controls flawlessly. I'm having so much more fun with the game now in dual analog mode.

I found it easier to find the right sensitivity settings than I did with Quake 3 Arena. Happy to share my presets if anyone is interested.

Sounds like there's backstory I'm not familiar with. At any rate, I would recommend ANY product that allows you to play the game with dual analogs. I have that particular product so I can only speak to its functionality.

BlueRetro is an open source project that allows you to connect 4 controllers/keyboards/mice to a single DreamCast, the 4-port version costs exactly half as much as this stripped-down 1-port version from 8bitmods

Hi,

First time using FlyCast today and I had the same issue.

Solved it by going into settings - network and then checking all the options there including BBA etc. Don’t click on the network tabs such as Naomi etc, keeping Network disabled and hey presto you will be able to connect.
