run a custom map server, Og servers are too common
BOOM
As said above, will do. Eventually the server will run a different game type every week or so.

i don´t think there is a need to switch game types weekly, just put a couple different servers and let them run they don´t put much strain on a computer.

Well my mega cheap Chinese mini PC is super low spec as follows:
Celeron N3350 @1.1ghz
6gb RAM
57gb SSD
Windows 10 Pro
…with about 20mb download and upload speeds based on the location of the device to my router via WiFi.
Is this spec good enough to run more than one dedicated server? I’d also be concerned about multiple servers affecting the WiFi performance in my home as well as not being enough for clients joining the servers.
If someone can confirm that the above will run ok with out slowing my WiFi down, I’m more than happy to put lots of servers up…

Oh yeah should be able to handle a couple dedicated servers no problem with those specs. Not an issue with those speeds but put this in your config "set sv_maxrate 5000 " so its better for dialup players and so bba players dont hogg all the bandwidth.
Yeah , my 1st q3 dc server was dialup . Lets just say we had ok 3 player matches in that 1 server

Thanks mate, so when you say a “couple” you mean two servers?

Had another play with the config file yesterday.
Still can’t get message of the day to work and also experimented with trying to randomise the map playlist with commands I’ve found on the internet, but again can’t get that to work either.

Can you randomise maps?
Have set the sv_maxrate to 5000 though.
