Fun stuff! I noticed that on my Dreamcast Live profile page, it says I placed first out of seven in this competition. A typo, I suppose?

Nope, not a typo. That's your overall Soul Calibur ranking. This includes all the players from the last competition plus the players from this one (which totals 7).

Ah, I see. But how do you measure it when the previous competition was in survival mode?

It's measured by the points earned for each competition. 30 points for 1st place, 20 points for 2nd, and 10 points for 3rd.

Okay, but how does that put me above KIREEK, when he won the previous competition, and earned the same 30 points? Is it just because I have more points overall?

You aren't above him. You are both tied for 1st. If you look at his profile you will see it says he is 1/7 as well.
