Thank you, i'll give it a try
- but -
the question is why my games (GDi) are playing perfect if i use the openmenu version 1.33? And i am using PAL european and USA NTSC games. Both are working 100% with 1.33 openmenu.

Hi, i fixed all my issues and now my Dreamcast games list is almost finished! I still have a couple of problem to solve:

1) those 5 games have the title with a really big font, so it is not possibile to see it:

https://i.postimg.cc/J0JXXPNs/Whats-App ... 1-58-2.jpg

https://i.postimg.cc/xTDMQVQM/Whats-App ... 1-58-4.jpg
https://i.postimg.cc/g2Ghwyn0/Whats-App ... 1-58-5.jpg

All the others games has a little font so it is possible to see the game title without problems. here below an example:

How i can fix it?

2) I tried to save the Openmenu options (theme, style, filter) but if i turn off and turn on the dreamcast, the settings aren't saved...currently i'm not usign the VMU as i have to buy new battery...do you think that this is the reason? i think that the settings are saved into the sd card, not into the VMU...so i don't understand how to fix this...

thank you!

As far as I know, this can't be fixed. This is part of the reason why I prefer grid view with lettered folders. Folders are also quicker to navigate through.

ah ok, understood. yes the icons are already present into the OpenmenuDAT, i have those:
https://i.postimg.cc/t4xshFrP/Cattura.jpg
If i want to add the yellow letters, i suppose i have to remove all the existing letters from OpenMenuDAT, right?

And what about my 2nd question? it is really strange i'm not able to save the settings...

thank you

You can overwrite the existing icons if you like my folder icons better.

Regarding not being able to save settings, this is not normal behavior. What type of memory card are you using? Do you have any others you can try?

1) ah ok, i will overwrite the letters, ok.

2) Currently i'm not using any VMU as batteries are exhausted...i have to buy new ones. So settings of OpenMenu are saved into the VMU, not into the microSD card?

3) checking this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO3z94EzAOQ at 3:30, is it still possible to activate that view? If i choose GDMENU Theme and Style = Scroll, games are grouped by alphabetical letter, it isn't possible anymore like in the old version to sort games like you shows into the video at 3:30..

4) Last question: is it available a hot key to exti from a running game, in order to return into the OpenMenu main menu? Currently if i want to change a game, i always have to turn off/turn on the console...

thank you

GDEMU's SD card cannot be written to from any game software. Also, your VMU doesn't need batteries just to operate. It needs batteries to function in standalone mode to do things like play VMU minigames. Can you imagine if the VMU needed working batteries just to save games?

Yes, that video was made using the latest version of openMenu. Have you tried mimicking the exact settings shown at the video at 3m28s?

Style = Scroll
Theme = GDMENU
Sort = Default
Filter = All
Multidisc = Hide

The in-game reset button combination is the same as it is with gdMenu and all other Dreamcast ODE menu software: ABXY+Start. You press it once to return to the game's title screen, then again to return to openMenu game list.

Note that this button combination also works when you're using retail discs to reboot back to BIOS.

Hello, I'm hoping for a little help with auto per-game VMU on open Menu via GDEMU. I was on firmware 1.2.9 last night, and everything seemed to work well, with per game VMUs auto-creating. However, after updating to the latest firmware (1.4.8) today, per game VMUs are no longer being created. Using the VM2 GUI tool, when I explore uSD contents I do see green auto-created folders for games I played last night, but there aren't any for games I played on the new firmware, nor did I see the auto-create text pop up on the VMU for any games I tried tonight. And since I eventually got to the point where there was no free memory left to make new saves, it's clear I'm stuck in old-school general VMU mode somehow. Would love some pointers if you have the time. Thanks!

You want to contact Chris for VM2 support. You shouldn't be experiencing this.

That said, ensure that your VM2 is set to use uSD instead of internal for memory. There's also a Game ID setting that can be turned on/off now, however using openMenu overrides this anyway (AFAIK).

Thanks, ATeam, I'll write Chris. Have a good one!
