i have to disagree with the graphics, i am assuming that is what you meant by it doesn't look all that great. i for one thought it look rather good. it wasn't awesome looking, but it wasn't bad either.

Well I actually think it looks pretty damn good but a lot of reviewers disagreed. I think the issue was that it looked better on the PC and they already had to review it for the PC so by the time it hit the DC the review crowd basically said "ehh, fuck this". But my first time playing it was on the Dreamcast and the effects look phenomenal and the design of the ships and the world are superb IMO

I might have a look at this one again sometime I do have it on my shelf lol!!

Does anyone remember Slave Zero? I've done a couple videos on it as I would like to do a walkthrough for it

Also I plan to make more videos about DC games and I want to try and include titles people have either NEVER seen or haven't seen for a long time, so if you have any you want to see let me know, make sure you check my game list in the lounge thread about members game lists

You should do Charge 'n Blast! It will take you five minutes to beat the game and you'll have a great time doing it haha. Slave Zero was really cool when I first played it (first game I got on my DC) but its kind of hard to get in to. Its quite a bit laggy and very jarring if you are just starting up but once you get used to it everything works quite nicely.

Its weird I seem to notice it at first and then if I play a game long enough that has lag I just get used to it. It takes about a few levels or so and there aren't many laggy games on the DC but I was talking to Neo about lag in Shadowman and he didn't remember any either haha. Maybe my DC is just on its last leg

I was gonna say, I don't remember ever encountering a laggy game on DC, the only one that comes to mind is Ikaruga when you destroy the boss but that could be on purpose for effect.... I honestly can't remember a single dc game where the framerate stuttered

Yeah for the most part, although there are exceptions like TXR2 (especially the JNP version) and other certain arcade ports like Crazy Taxi and Power Stone 2 (but to be fair, these titles also suffered from slowdown in their arcade form).

Can you remember trying to run past the fountain in the beginning of Shenmue 2 ? Now that is slowdown !! It was like trying to move through a vat of treacle.

Also Formula One World GP 2 suffered the most terrible slowdown in parts. A shame because it improves on the first game in so many ways and, graphically, it competes with the best on DC. Great graphics can sometimes make, but also break, a game.......
