Yeah, this is a little fishy. There are a ton of trusted people in the community that could rip the disc contents for him so asking for $1,000 to do it himself is a bit suspicious.

I agree that is sounds weird. I hope to see the game playable but find it difficult to donate the money when there are easier ways to do it.

I really would love to play this one particularly because this is a unique and quirky game that fits very well in the Dreamcast library but no way am I donating to these thieves. That whole write up and the repeating of the "twin" thing (not brother, but twin) and the 3rd grade usage of sentence structure and other things I will leave alone is just insulting.

Yes, he is in his right to do so, but do not act like you are a Dreamcast fan and you are trying to do us a favor. More qualified people with the resources should handle this, not this half of a twin who seems like he does not really know what to do with this.

About the twins, I played hockey with three different sets of twins and once dated two girls who were twins. Point is, none of them referred to each other or themselves as "my twin". Those people were either referred to as brother, sister or by name. I feel like I'm being poorly sold a bill of goods...

It could be that he is just trying to dump the disc, since he may not feel comfortable by lending it to others. After dumped, he could always send the dump to the right people that could optimize the game and make a self-boot disc.
