So it's like this, from some time now my computer doesn't react normally to the power on button, i will show the current situation that i'm in and maybe one of you may know the problem.
I turn the extension power (for a lack of a better term it's a place where you connect the power to everything you have, but in this case it has a button), after this i turn the computer power by pressing the button, the computer doesn't turn on.
After a few seconds i press the power button and he turns on, however no image on screen is presented, since i can't do anything i press the reset button, this shuts down the computer for a few more seconds.
I press the power button, the computer turns on and instantly shuts down, then after a few seconds it turn on, however the BIOS settings change (boot device is a floppy disk and date changes to january 1st), after making everything correct like the boot device the computer turns on normally with no problems.
Why is this problem exist, i don't even know where the problem is located.

Re: Computer Problem
Did you mess around inside the computer at all?
Try waiting a few minutes after you turn the "extension power" on. Then try turning your computer on.

Re: Computer Problem
It's 3 years old i think
I can try wait more then 2 minutes before turning the power on.
In the case the battery bios is dead, what can i do to replace it? i will assume it uses a battery like the ones a VMU uses right? (coin shape)

Re: Computer Problem
after checking some of my pin connections, i think i found why my PC is acting up. after some research earlier almost every tech forum told inquirers that many of our issues are related to the PSU. in my case i was pretty sure my power supply unit was good, after all its only about a year or so old and it is an after market unit. my troubles started when i installed a new motherboard. so it either had to be my motherboard or the connections.
i cleaned the pin connector that made the most sense according to one tech forum member and pushed other Power connectors in to be sure that they were tightly connected. so far the PC seems to start up with out any trouble. in the past it would take me 3 or 4 tries to get it to boot.
i cannot say for sure that by doing the same things will fix your computer. but it seems to be more likely than not that your trouble is in the power supply somewhere. either in your connections or the unit itself. bellow i will post a link to the type of connector i cleaned. all i did was blow out any dust that i could see in it. http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/12v4pin.jpg
the reason they said to check that connector was because that one sends a signal to the motherboard letting it know that enough power is ready for the whole system. if the motherboard fails to receive this signal the bios cannot boot.
hope this helps kireek. by the way some other reasons they gave for the symptoms you have are, failing RAM, dead hard drive, and dead motherboard. the most common response was of course dead or dieing PSU and or cables and connectors related to the PSU.

Re: Computer Problem
I switched the battery, however that was not the problem.
It seems one of the 4 USB ports had a terrible bad contact with one of the devices plugged in, it seems it prevented the computer from turning on, meaning the computer would turn on by simply removing the USB device.
I mean i knew something was wrong, it was not a coincidence that the computer turns on when i removed the device, so the 1st time i tried to turn ON on the pc, it made the same sequence of events including bios reset.
I found odd so i touched the usb device and the computer responded immediately, but since i didn't removed the device the computer was turning on and off like crazy, there was definitely a bad contact somewhere, moved the usb device to another slot and now the computer boots up normally.

Re: Computer Problem
Wow, that is very likely, but very odd. Glad it is working for you.

Re: Computer Problem
not much of a fix really. i just cleaned the dirty connection and made sure that every power related connection was firmly plugged in. ya know, things that should have been done when i installed the motherboard
