Analog Stick not moving up or down

My friend sent me his "teenage" Dreamcast. One of the first party controllers has a malfunctioning analog stick. It won't register on the Y-Axis, only moves left/right. I took it all apart, sprayed some contact cleaner, but that didn't work. Any ideas out there?

resolder X-Axis hall sensor to Y-Axis and test

Ah, appreciate the tip. Soldering is not in my repertoire so I'll probably just toss it, I have many controllers already.
