Hey fellas, anyone get DC online using XP yet?

Unfortunately I failed setting up the PC-DC server using Xp if thats what you mean. I have never heard of anyone who has been successful. I have heard a lot of people getting on with 98.

There are other options. Do you have phone service in your home?

I'm gonna give it a go once I can get a junk PC to use. I have already downloaded the software it takes to do it. I have an external 56k modem ready to go.

Yes I do have a phone line, tried getting a broadband adapter but they're crazy expensive for some reason

i gave it a shot. i failed pretty bad too. keep in mind i use a PC-DC server now. i asked around and no one could figure out why xp wouldn't work. i was able to get the DC connected to my PC. but the PC would not send my DCs data in or out to the net.

I'm not sure what my problem was. There were too many variables and I have never heard of anyone getting Xp to work yet. It's a shame. I wonder why mterlouw made the guide for Xp also, did he actually get it working?
