I just bought an official dreamcast keyboard and an official mouse, I wanna know the games I can play using the mouse (oh trust me I have just played quake I finally owned that effing hunter >.< RAWR) but I have a couple more questions:
What games are cool and fun to play with keyboard(besides the typing of the dead)?
Is PSO compatible with the keyboard? (I wanna play PSO sorta like PSO BB down arrows CTRL WASD, or is it like PSO PC? where the number keys are to move?)
Is there any mods for PSO DC V2 PAL(fastload copy from Dreacmast talk) that allow more hot keys? like on pso bb, 1-0 then CTRL 1-0? Cause it sucks how there is only 6 keys to pick from and if you are using a force or have a lot of items and spells (Barta, zonde, heavy attack, light attack, moon atom, resta, anti, etc.) gets really annoying.
Please and thank you, I hope I posted in the right area >.<

Meh thanks anyways, but modding is very advanced back then, windows xp was still in the works (the vista of the early 2000) now computers have advanced! I know it's possible but it's just you would need to be a super nerd... I would do it if I had some knowledge.Dr. Pariolo wrote:i seriously doubt theres a mod for making pso dc act like psobb XD thats be perfect tho.. But just asking too much![]()

CERTIFIED DREAMCAST MOUSE AND KEYBOARD OWNER
Anyway, You can use the mouse in DreamSNES for stuff like Mario Paint. The Keyboard/Mouse combo works well in Half Life Gold. You can use it in starlancer, I believe. You can use it in Rez but it's not all too great in that game.
KB/Mouse is good for lotsa homebrew stuff and, of course Dreamcast Linux.

Computer technology isnt really the issue, more like pso. The pso engine have always been really fragile. Just try to do some hacking to the pso pc version. Try doing something slighty weird, and it will crash. So adding new buttons on an even older version.. I think thats out of the league of the game. Dont get me wrong, im not trying to make a point. I LOVE that psobb feature. I really freakin love it, and i would give anything to have it on pso dc. Im just saying that for you not to raise too much hopes =(Smokexz wrote: Meh thanks anyways, but modding is very advanced back then, windows xp was still in the works (the vista of the early 2000) now computers have advanced! Re: Just got my DC Keyboard and mouse! questions o.O
the only way you will even be able to use a keyboard to control PSO v2 is to use an emulator. the KB support in the Dreamcast versions are for chat.
as for what games you can use a KB/mouse combo? lets see, all of the games that are still online have some sort of KB support. some have more than others, Q3 you can use it to control the game. the others use it for chat.
a few other offline games that support either the mouse and keyboard in some way are. unreal tournament, outrigger, Rez, typing of the dead, half life, web browsers, and i am sure that there are other games that i can't think of off of the top of my head.

Yeah I know, I was messing around with skins and then PSO BB crashed, it sometimes even crashes at random. I know what you are saying but people have finally cracked PSO DC V2(now with fastload and all) so it just makes ya think if heavier modding is next.Dr. Pariolo wrote:Computer technology isnt really the issue, more like pso. Re: Just got my DC Keyboard and mouse! questions o.O
Indeed, cracking as progressed. But so far all it makes is being able to use features that were originally supported. At most, "new" things are quest. But custom quests are just things using elements that the games provides. But in any case, we can literally ADD funtions/stuff.
Most similar thing would be skinning. As far as i know neoblast is working on skinning things. Yet again, its not ADDING, its just replacing. Thats why im saying adding a hotkey toolbar like in psobb seems unreal.
