Breathless - 90s Amiga shooter. Possible DC port with source code available?

Post by DCTurbo »

Would a native DC port be possible with the available source code that was released a few years back?

I haven’t seen many other port projects for this game but would be interesting to see how the DC could run it if this is possible. The game also has some great atmospheric mod music similar to other contemporary shooters.

Not to be funny but we could recreate that in nuquake hardware rendering 60fps

Sounds interesting, I am not familiar with what would be the process but would it be a matter of converting the maps and assets with scripting or tools or would they need to be recreated manually?

The Breathless engine looks quite simple in features compared to Quake and Doom given the target for playability on stock Amiga builds (2D sprites, no first person weapons and simple room geometry).
