Bought it back when the 80 gig cost 600. Jus cuz my house caught fire lost all my vintage game stuff, insurance paid for it so I bought one. Price drop is irritataing but inevitable.
Sweet to see katamari forever is out. Pretty sweet I can buy beavis and butthead shows for 2 bucks, d/l game demos. Irritating some games are online only since I can't figure out wifi and a 25 ft ethernet cable gets unplugged quite often from foot traffic. Dope its got better graphics than xbox360. The orange box is a good buy, portal is weird on it for sure. Littlebigplanet is ok, mgs4 is so dam confusing. Idk if its jus older models are backward compatible but its convenient. Had it for a year and a half before I realised pshome was more than just a "home browser screen". People on pshome are assholes. Life with playstation is pretty cool. Fact you can buy a HD for like 100 bucks and double your memory in 5 minutes is pretty cool, you can also sync psp with it and mess with your ps3 from your psp anywhere in the world is crazy. Not to mention you can emulate just about any console with your ps3 probably makes it a dream console, except the fact its not sega. But I still love my dreamcast. Dreamcast has a special place in my heart

Idk why you wouldn't want one after the price drop they had. Better to have a ps3 and lost than to never own one at all. Everyday shooter is simply the shiznit.

why: coz I decided not to buy any of this generation's consoles, coz they really offer nothing new besides graphics imo

besides, I still own hundreds of games I still need to play

baka. its not coz you don't follow the everyday hype of the world that you're less than the average gamer. I owned 5 or even 6 consoles before the sony hype was even born so don't come talking to me bout everyday gaming (which in fact I've done for over 30 years)

try completing ghosts 'n goblins on one credit for a change & see how hardcore you really are

I'm not talking about everyday anything or hardcore. Crazy euro guy.. everyday shooter is the name of a videogame. Silly. I haven't hardcore videogame'd shit since q3a when dc was still alive, 8-10 years ago. And shenmue I guess. Jus telling ya games ur missing out on, and I get pretty bored with videogames after 10 minutes, its hard to enjoy dreamcast when its dead nothings gonna come for it, new videogames are ok but still get a pain in my ass same as old. And quite frankly if I sat threw a whole game my gf would start bitching at me so either way its lose lose.

as for missing out on shooters, shooters are the worst genre of games. i would never feel that i missed out on a new great shooter. mostly because the genre has gone stale. if you ask me better graphics just makes boring look better! i might want to grab a few classic ones though.

what I mean is that I really don't feel the need for anything new; I dunno why. I've always had sort of an oldschool (not OLD , there's a difference) mindset in most things I do. same goes for skateboarding, I'm one of the few guys over here who still rides a fat oldschool deck in the pool, like we had in the 80's; believe me I've tried the new ones, but they just don't feel good to me. I have that with gaming too, I got a mate who has a 360 & another one has a ps3 so I know how it looks & feels, but its just not for me atm, maybe at a later point in time, bu...t not now.

new doesn't always mean better you know, it ALWAYS means different, but not better

besides, my gf thought I owned a 360 anyway; some time ago she actually thought that my DC was a 360 coz its white

She just sucks at games. If you ever played katamari she sucks at that and idk how anyone could, you just roll stuff up. Everybody tends to love that game. Only game she is good at is rock n roll racing for snes genesis, and flower for ps3. Flower you just hit a button to control wind speed but other than that you gotta tilt the controller to move around and naturally she does that. She has no problem watching television re runs but hell feezes over when any console comes on. I started playing more so id stay out of trouble she said that's ok but an hour later ...
