SOON
VPN PPTP "Router mode [tplink]" + raspberry + dc hardware tests >>>
Success:
- Alien Front
- PBA Bowling
- The Next Tetris
- Worms
- Driving Strikers (host)
- ChuChu Rocket (!)
- Ooga Booga
- Internet Game Pack
- NFL 2K2
Moderate:
- Starlancer (players cant see the my room, but I can join other players host and works fine)
- Baseball 2K2 (works fine when I invite a player, but don't when others invites me)
- NBA 2K1/2K2 (Better if you're in a good proximity with pptp server countries US, UK, DE, AU, NL)
Original post:
A friend of mine who has an ISP with CGNAT, that is, which does not allow the correct use of DMZ and port opening, was successful using PureVPN's port forwarding service.
The most convenient way that worked for him was to use VPN over the PPTP protocol, which consists of applying the VPN to a router and so any device connected to that router is able to make use of port openings.
PPTP is an option that usually appears next to the ISP's authentication options, where PPoE is, for example. This router can be isolated in your network, under another router or modem, acting only with the Dreamcast.
We tested Alien Front and Quake3Arena without lags.
There is also many forms to use the PureVPN, like apps and pc clients.
2 years of service costs $1,95 + $0,99 (port forw.) a month, with 10 slots/devices
