I bought a used optical drive (Samsung TS-H352C) and a universal IDE/SATA to USB 3.0 adapter on Ebay and Amazon just now, so I can start ripping DC games to my computer. Has anybody used this method before? If so, how well does it work for you?
I bought Daytona USA 2001 and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing on EBay to start my (emulated) DC gaming experience. Which is better: Redream or Flycast?

Flycast
You CANNOT rip a GD-ROM (Dreamcast disc) with a normal cd/dvd drive.

Actually, according to the Dreamcast emulation wiki, the optical drive I bought is one of about two or three that is, in fact, compatible with Dreamcast GD-ROM games. And then there’s a program you can download called DCDumper that will let you use one of those compatible drives to dump DC games to PC.You CANNOT rip a GD-ROM (Dreamcast disc) with a normal cd/dvd drive.

Re: Ripping DC Games To PC
Not much point since all the games have been dumped your game will match 100% exact to the ones that been dumped. Above is not 100% and takes hours .
