Issue reading certain games

Hey y'all. Been a DC guy since the console launched. I wanted a PSOne, but they were on national backorder so my dad bought me a DC instead and man I couldn't have been happier as a kid. Such a criminally underrated system. What I have now is a Sega Sports edition console. Local store had it at the same price as a regular white console and i couldn't pass it up. I had a Sega Sports console years ago I found at a yard sale cheap and sold before the gaming boom. But I got another one(paid 120$ with OEM cables and matching controller)

Anyway enough of my rambling. Here's my issue. I've got two games currently. Ms Pac Man Maze Madness and Crazy Taxi. Ms Pac Man will fire up no issue. It's scratched but works great. However, crazy taxi will not read. Disc is near flawless with no scratches and doesn't appear to have been resurfaced ever. It spins the disc fine, laser is clean and moved and obviously reads discs. So I'm not sure what the issue here is. I haven't had a DC in many years so I'm not well versed in the typical issues they have, besides a 23 year old disc console can surely have issues with the laser. Console is super clean and doesn't appear to really have been used a ton. I just had major surgery so I can't be tearing the console all apart and all that. But any advice and help would be very appreciated. I wish I had more games to test but they are crazy expensive. My buddies have consoles but I'm not able to drive yet due to my surgery. Thank you.
