How long should a CR2032 Battery last inside the console?

I did the CR2032 Mod a few years ago and noticed that it's already dead. Will these need to be replaced every couple of years, is there a better longer lasting mod we can do?

Instead of using a CR2032 battery, you can use a ML2032, this battery is rechargeable and should last longer.

You can use the same slot you already soldered into the board for the CR2032, you just need to remove the diode that you soldered and resolder the resistor leg, because, since the ML2032 is a rechargeable battery, you will still want the Dreamcast to send electricity to recharge it.
