Atomiswave Light Gun Games and LightConn

Post by Woodneeded »

A little while back I purchased the Lightconn from Chris. I love using it with HOTD2, however I have recently tried to play some of the Atomiswave light gun games and ran into an issue. To access the system menu on the games you have to press start+b, however that button combination triggers the lightconn's internal calibration. Because of this I cannot seem to access the system menu of those games to calibrate the gun. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem before or has a possible solution.

Just going to bump this to see if the button prompt could be changed on the Atomiswave ports themselves. I assume this is way too much programming but I figured it was worth an ask.

I have the same issue. It would be awesome to get modified files for Lightconn users so that they could play these games. I understand nothing is guaranteed, and this is all done on free time, just having the ports possible is awesome in of itself.

If you take donations, I’ll show support.

Just figured a possible workaround for the LightConn + Atomiswave:

The LightConn shortcut START + B works only if a VMU is present.

So, maybe when you want to access the system menu, you can just unplug the VMU and then plug it again.

Generally, the VMU is required only when you want to access the LightConn's menu (for calibration, etc.).

If you have the LightConn already calibrated, then you can remove the VMU.
Of course, you won't be able to save while in a game, but if it's not a requirement then removing the VMU will do the trick.
