Hey guys,
I've been setting up a development environment on my computer following the instructions on this page https://dreamcast.wiki/Getting_Started_ ... evelopment and so far it's been going pretty well -- I've managed to get dcload-serial working, and have tested some of the example files on my console (using a serial cable connected to a 25 ft usb extension cord lol). I think I'm ready to attempt a hello world, but this is where the instructions on dreamcast.wiki drop off a little.
Right now there are no instructions on how to get started with clion, so I thought I'd ask if anyone here had access to a guide that might be useful (I'm running KallistiOS on a Windows machine using WSL), or had any tips on how to get started before I jump in. Since I'm pretty new to programming and have never worked with C/C++ before, it can feel a little intimidating.
The other question I wanted to ask was, is there any to get around paying for CLion? I was under the impression that it was a free tool before looking into it.
