I do.
Its a piece of shit, like windows. But its really looks nice! The reinvented taskbar is just awesome.
Its a vista fixed, not resources hog, but yeah, even cutter. Still unstable as fuck with some drivers when you are running 64 bits though...

Re: Windows 7
My girl runs it. very unstable. a lot of older Win 98 games that were buggy in Xp now don't run at all.
The software she needs for work wouldn't run. the interface is a rip off of Openbox.
I don't like it. it still needs 1 Gb of ram or more to run. that is alot. not worth it IMHO.
switch to linux (like me) or wait for the next version.

She has Ultimate 64 bit.
She actually boots into puppy Linux and uses wine to run the programs she needs for work.

Re: Windows 7
What i said, really bad in x64. On 32 bits i never ran across unfix-able stuff. Some incompatibilities issues, in gaming like mentioned, but in most cases by googling youll find pretty quick a fix..
Re: Windows 7
It's a nice operating system, i may get it in the future but for now i'm staying with XP
seven is no more then an upgrade of vista, but lot's of problems have been corrected and the system improved, i honestly recomend it.

Re: Windows 7
I'm very happy its still just as unstable. When I read the first reviews it seemed like they'd created a good, stable operating system. I was slightly worried because then it may be a contender against Ubuntu and other Linux based OSes.
But now that I know its still as stable as a serial killer's emotional state, I know that I can relax. As long as M$ are still making people annoyed enough to try other options, the future of desktop Linux is very safe

The Linux desktop has been here. there is a very slim chance you can not find a Linux app to do what you need. DiscJuggler is one of them.

And thats the only reason I have an XP install at the mo. Otherwise it would be terminated with extreme prejudice. I can (and do) use Linux apps for everything else.dirtydav wrote:The Linux desktop has been here. there is a very slim chance you can not find a Linux app to do what you need. Tried my best to burn DC games on Linux, but it took more time than I cared to invest.
So yeah, Windows 7 will never infect my PC

Every time I use a windows PC and right click on the desktop I get disappointed.
I do it all the time.

I do it all the time.
