I got some extra money this week so I was thinking the Dreamcast needed something new plugged in. :D
I have a VGA box already :D
What accessory works with the most games? What one is worth the money?
I'm thinking The light gun, keyboard and mouse, the Microphone, or fishing rod.
I know there all worth the money but I'm not a collector I'm a gamer.
And any comments about the 4X memory cards? Are they reliable? Am I better off getting 4 VMU's?
Just looking for suggestions,
thanks for your time friends
What dreamcast accessory should I get.

Re: What dreamcast accessory should I get.
Never had any issues with 4X vmus.
And i voted for kb and mouse: a MUST for quake 3 arena
Fishing rod and microphone.. Unless you like the weirdest games ever.. You wont use them lol, plus the compatible games list is ridiculously little.
For the light gun, good for the few good shooters how there on dc, but make sure your tv isnt 100 hrtz or it wont work!!

personally I say the ascii mission stick is a must have, it basically works on every game, but is awesome for games like starlancer, propeller arena, fps games, I love how it works on armada too

Re: What dreamcast accessory should I get.
mouse and keyboard is a fine choice too. out of all my DC accessories i think they get the most use. i have the fishing rod, light gun, steering wheel and kb/mouse. i also have smaller items like controller cord extender and rumble packs. i guess i use one of my rumble packs every time i play. i also use my VGA box every time, if possible.

Even if i can't vote i'll post here my opinion.
Mouse and keyboard will help you on many games, FPS games will benefit, but PSO and web browsing will benefit from having those.

Re: What dreamcast accessory should I get.
Well, in july I will have had my Current dreamcast a year now. I have YET to get a kb/mouse, but that is really what I want the most, because after all, FPS games were meant to be played like on a PC.
Even when I bought my original DC in 2001 I never experianced the joys of playing Quake and UT with mouse/KB.
I would say that the light guns should come next.
So I say get those 2 first, then DEFINATLY get the fishing controller. You can use it like a simple Wiimote on Soul Calibur.
But that ascii mission stick looks awesome too.
