I'm going out on a limb here by assuming that this is going to be nothing more than a City of Heroes clone with a new graphics engine and the implementation of DC characters that will aid you in missions throughout the environment BUT my one big question is ......

Will there be a penalty for dying?

I don't know about you guys but the thing that ruined my MMO experience after the Diablo II years is how World Of Warcraft didn't have an experience penalty for deaths in the game.

In my opinion there was no skill involved in playing a game like that. No reward and punishment system built in. You just played, played, and played and you'd find something sooner or later and there was no consequences for your actions.

This is definitely a make or break feature I hope they add to the game because if they don't its not going to have the challenge I prefer.

A lot of MMORPGS don't make you lose xp when you die. I never though about it but I think that would be a great rule.

Thats why diablo will probalby be the best one ever made. yeah diablo 2 dieing was crazy lol. i remember always having to teleport to baal. then getting hit with amplify and telport into a hord of monsters i was like FUCK when i died

I hear ya, there really is no challenge if there's no experience penalty for dying in battle.

If anyone finds out if there is an experience penalty in DC-Universe Online please either post in this thread or hit me up in a private message.
