I recently got this game, and it is absolutely amazing. The plot is deep and rich. If you thought Halo cut-scenes were a movie, then you haven't played this, I swear the quality in this game is insane! You must play it!

Theres IGN's review.
I know some people have this game, and if they haven't played it they must! It truly is worth it and is in my top list of Dreamcast games!

Ya, this game is as bloody as God of War. Really fun for some hack and slash gameplay. I especialy love it when you fill up your rage meter and go berzerk and you see blood red! Some of the best graphics on the DC, and you can not get this game on any other platform, it is an exclusive. 1 more reason to be glad you own a DC.

Re: Sword of The Berserk Guts' Rage - Must Play
One of my favorite anime and manga become one of my favorite game on my favorite console. What more could i ask?
Bloody as hell, great graphics and storyline between vol 22 and 23 of the manga. Casca's condition makes me little sad, knowing the way that happened, but the hack n slash madness doesn't give you the opportunity to have second thoughts than kill to survive
When i found out that Susumu Hirasawa (composer of anime series music) is behind the game's OST also i felt more exited.
Must buy for every Dreamcast collector and medieval 3rd person lover. Its not cheap and not easy to find tho. I also recommend you to buy the japanese version also. Much better cover and cheaper (as i remember)

Re: Sword of The Berserk Guts' Rage - Must Play
I have the series on DVD. But it looked like the last episode was not the end of the story. What's up with that?... Did they cancel it or something?... Any info would be appreciated... ^^pressure wrote:One of my favorite anime and manga become one of my favorite game on my favorite console. What more could i ask?

No don't think it was canceled. The anime is just an adaptation of only small part of the manga. The story unfolds and continues in the manga. The game I believe takes place vol. 22-23 in the manga (which is more than after when anime ends as Casca is in her vegatative like state from the start of the game).
It's STILL Thinking Dreamcast Channel

Re: Sword of The Berserk Guts' Rage - Must Play
Well many rumors have been given through time and net (even an ending cause of the death of Kentaro Miura). The story keep on going through manga and it has gone to a sick dark and other dimension
The new chapters are been released and translating very slow tho (every 2-3 months). The last on the net is chapter is Berserk vol 37 chap327 i think. Millions of fans around the world have been so disappointed with the sudden ending and fanatically request for a second season (me too
). Few months ago an almost official announcement spread happiness again cause they say that the second season is finally been developed now
Will see. The continuing of Berserk anime series has been a dying dream that will never come true. Just like the Dreamcast 2. Who knows maybe Dreamacast will be back too....some day :p
oh, now that i think of it check few details of the new announcement

I just want to add, I think the level of quality put into the audio in this game is absolutely cinematic. The sound effects, and even much of the voice acting, is seriously great. The sound when Guts cuts down an enemy is just perfect. The cutscenes, unlike in most games, are actually worth watching - in fact, they are just as entertaining as the gameplay.

I totally agree! I was shocked when i saw the cinematics and heard the sounds of this game. I couldn't believe what Dreamcast was capable of.
